Ready to race.

The team at McChip-DKR has built a new car designed for track-day fun. The new upgrade program benefits the 997.2 Porsche 911 Turbo S and helps cut down on lap times thanks to a wide range of modifications such as the McChip-DKR Stage 3 tuning kit, chassis upgrades, and motorsport-inspired interior furnishings.

Stuffed up the butt of the Porsche 911 Turbo S is a potent 3.8-liter DFI flat-six engine being fed by two turbochargers for an impressive output of 530 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque. But the team at McChip-DKR wanted the all-wheel drive supercar to go around a track even faster, so they installed a full Stage 3 upgrade kit on the engine. In the Stage 3 kit, the 3.8-liter engine is outfitted with a full exhaust system with sports catalytic converters and headers designed by Michael SCHNARR from CARGRAPHIC to reduce backpressure and deliver a meaner exhaust note. After a software tune, output is raised up to 600 horsepower and 601 lb-ft. of torque for even quicker acceleration and top speed.

Going fast around a racetrack doesn’t just require more power. Some of the most important upgrades in this regard are made to the chassis and body. The suspension benefits from Bilstein PASM coilovers that sharpen up handling along with a set of lightweight Porsche 911 GT2 RS wheels and sticky Michelin Cup tires to grab the asphalt. McChip-DKR was also able to shed weight on the 911 Turbo S to make it more nimble. The team replaced the sunroof with a carbon fiber roof and the rear window was replaced with Makrolon.

Inside, the purpose for the 911 Turbo S is apparent. The two front seats were replaced with Recao SPG shell-type racing seats upholstered in alcantara that match the rest of the cabin’s furnishings. Driver and passenger are protected by a full Hegemann roll cage and the interior trim pieces were painted to match the exterior of the supercar.

All of the featured upgrades on the Porsche 911 Turbo S are currently available The Stage 3 engine upgrade is available for 8,499 Euros.
