Because summer is only six months away.

For some reason, European aftermarket tuning companies are choosing January as the perfect time to unveil their upgrade programs for convertibles. We’re not complaining over the fact that there are more high-performance cars, just scratching our heads at the timing. Oh well, more fun in the sun to look forward to in six months.

Dähler Design & Technik GmbH is one of those companies, and they have just unveiled their new F83 BMW M4 Cabriolet upgrade program with more power, better suspension, and better looks.

Customers of the Dähler Design & Technik GmbH BMW M4 Cabriolet will have their choice of two different stages of tuning for the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six for all sorts of fun. Both stages include a stainless steel exhaust system and ECU software tuning, and are still able to meet Euro-6 standards.

Stage 1 from Dähler Design & Technik GmbH pushes the turbocharged inline-six to 510 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque from 2,400 to 5,200 RPM. That allows the drop-top to reach 60 mph from rest in 3.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 196 mph (315 km/h). In Stage 2, the BMW M4 Cabriolet packs 540 horsepower and 538 lb-ft. of torque from 2,900 to 4,900 RPM, along with a 203 mph (327 km/h) top speed.

In addition to the engine tuning, Dähler Design & Technik GmbH also focused on the chassis of the BMW M4 Cabriolet. A new 18-way adjustable coilover suspension allows drivers to create the perfect setup for a given road or track. That’s paired up with more aggressive eight-piston high-performance calipers with 400 mm discs for better stopping power.

The final aspect of the conversion for the BMW M4 was the exterior. Instead of an all-out carbon fiber aerodynamic package, Dähler Design & Technik GmbH opted to add a new carbon fiber front spoiler lip and carbon fiber side mirror covers to optimize aerodynamics and add a more athletic visual touch.

The new Dähler Design & Technik GmbH BMW M4 Cabriolet upgrade package is currently available as a complete package or as individual accessories.
